Keyboard Monitor Switch with 19" LCD Monitor
SMK-580S19 Rack Console, 8-Port Keyboard Monitor Mouse Switch
- Features and Benefits
- Rack-optimized design
- The SMK 19-inch LCD rack console series is rack-optimized. Using a notebook style clamshell design, each unit takes up only one rack-unit
of space, even with the 19 inch LCD monitor. The unit is mounted
on ball-bearing slide rails so you can easily pull it out of your
equipment rack to access the keyboard and monitor. The LCD flips up for use and folds down
for storage.
The pull-out keyboard drawer lets you extend the LCD and keyboard more than 19 inches from the rack for unobstructed access of both the display and keyboard. - 19 inch LCD with 1000:1 contrast ratio
- The SMK 19-inch LCD rack console series sports a 1000:1 contrast ratio LCD panel. Such high contrast ratio exceeds even most CRT monitors. The result is that you'll be able to distinguish the subtle shades of color or gray in your graphics images for more accurate work.
- 19 inch LCD with 160 degrees viewing angles
- The 19-inch LCD exhibits both wide and symmetrical viewing angles. What you get is a monitor that closely resembles a CRT in viewing angles while providing a sharper and more stable image. The wide viewing angles—160-degrees vertical and horizontal, means you see the entire image clearly, even from a steep angle.
- Simple to use KVM switch
-
The unit includes an 8- or 16-port keyboard video mouse switch providing a convenient
solution for controlling multiple computers. The KVM console switch lets you control up to
128 PCs or servers by cascading additional KVM switches. The switch supports hot plugging
of systems so you don't have to power down the KVM to add or remove PCs. and features auto-scanning
of connected systems and systems on daisy chained installations.
Using the KVM can't be simpler, using a combination of on-screen menu and keyboard-mounted pushbuttons, the KVM scans for connected PCs and the operator uses the pushbuttons to select the desired PC either by number or by name. - Assign unique Names to connected computers
- In a networked environment, you may find it easier to identify the computer in a network by name, rather than by port number. You can assign the same names as those assigned by the network for each computer.
- Adjustable rack mounting brackets
- The rear bracket is an adjustable piece that can be used to accomodate equipment racks and cabinets of different depth up to more than 38 inches.
