Keyboard Video Mouse Console Switch with LCD
DMK-580S17 KVM Console Switch with 17" Flip-up LCD in a Dual Rail, Slide-out Rackmount
Drawer
- Features and Benefits
- Dual rail rack-optimized design
- The
dual-rail design represents an intelligent use of rack space. Essentially, two sets of slide
rails are attached to the LCD and keyboard allowing each component to slide in and out of
the rack independent of the other. To access the LCD and keyboard, you pull both components
out from the rack. The pull-out LCD and keyboard tray lets you extend the LCD and keyboard
16.8 inches from the rack for unobstructed access of both the display and keyboard.
The LCD flips up for use.
If
you no longer need to use the keyboard, just slide away the keyboard tray. The LCD
remains outside of the rack, in display, even if the rack door is closed. This approach
also gives an additional level of server management security by having the keyboard hidden
to prevent unauthorized access.
- Simple to use KVM switch
-
The DMK KVM series includes an 8- or 16-port keyboard video mouse switch providing a convenient
solution for controlling multiple computers. The KVM console switch lets you control up to
128 PCs or servers by daisy-chaining additional KVM switches. The switch supports hot
plugging of systems so you don't have to power down the KVM switch to add or remove PCs.
It also features auto-scanning of connected systems and systems on daisy chained installations.
Using the KVM switch can't be simpler, using a combination of on-screen menu and keyboard-mounted
pushbuttons, the KVM switch scans for connected PCs and the operator uses the pushbuttons
to select the desired PC either by number or by name.
- Assign unique Names to connected computers
- In a networked environment, you may find it easier to identify the computer in a network
by name, rather than by port number. You can assign the same names as those assigned by
the network for each computer.
-
- Adjustable rack mounting brackets
- The rear bracket
is an adjustable piece that can be used to accomodate equipment racks and cabinets of different
depth up to almost 38 inches.
