Offering raw processing
power, ruggedness and connectivity to the rest
of your business, IPC-SX17, IPC-SX15 are
a self-contained, rackmountable computer with
an Intel processor-based system architecture
and its own high resolution TFT LCD monitor.
They provide a powerful platform for industrial
computing applications with room for expansion.
The series is designed
for rack mounting. A spacious 8U rack
units high
(19" W x 14" H) rack-mountable metal
chassis contains the system board, disk drives
for data storage, and a flat panel display.
Available mounting hole patterns for ATX, extended
ATX and passive backplanes let you outfit the
chassis with a wide range of motherboards
and backplanes up to 14 slots. All slots accomodate
full-length expansion cards. Each card is secured
in place by a special card retaining clamp.
Standard system configuration
includes an ATX or extended ATX form factor
motherboard
that supports single or dual processors. This
configuration offers the cutting edge
of PC technology such as Intel Pentium
4 and Xeon processors, USB 2.0, Serial ATA
and Ultra320 SCSI peripheral device interfaces,
AGP 8X video and 64-bit PCI bus.
If your applications require support for legacy
bus add-on cards such as ISA cards, then the
passive backplane-based configuration may be
a better choice. Using a single board computer
(SBC) installed in a 14-slot passive backplane,
you can tap the power of Intel Pentium III
or Pentium 4 processor and still have ISA,
PCI slots for your add-on cards. Since the
SBC comes as a plug-in card, system maintenance
takes less time.
The integral LCD provides
an EMI free display as well as lower power
consumption and sharper,
brighter, and more vivid images for all your
applications. Both the 15.4" and 17" LCDs
have a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels
(SXGA
resolution).
An on-screen display (OSD) menu let's you adjust
the display for optimum viewing.
