SMK-900 Series 1U Rack KVM Console

The SMK-900 series rack console fits in a standard 19 inch rack and occupies just 1U rack space. It features two LCD screen sizes—17" and 19", both of which provide 1280x1024 resolution.

The series comes with eight models differentiated by the number of KVM ports, keyboard/mouse interface, and LCD screen size. It's the most efficient and cost-effective way to control your server rack, from one to sixteen computers.

KVM Interface

The SMK-900 series' keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) interface consists of a single DB-15 connector for each KVM port. The DB-15 connector carries video and keyboard/mouse data from the computer to the KVM console.

Within the series, you may choose models with USB or PS/2 only interface, or dual interface KVM switch that supports both PS2 and USB connectivity. This image shows the KVM ports of:
1. Single port USB or PS/2 interface (SMK-920S17P, SMK-920S17U, SMK-920S19P, SMK-920S19U).
3. 8-port dual interface (SMK-980S17D, SMK-980S19D).
5. 16-port dual interface (SMK-990S17D, SMK-990S19D).

Note: 2 and 4 are no longer available.

KVM cables are included with the product. With our dual interface models, you may choose to have all USB, all PS/2 of a mix of the two types of KVM cables.

Full Size Cherry Keyboard in a Slide Out Drawer

The entire LCD monitor keyboard drawer is constructed of metal for ruggedness. The slide-out panel and keyboard tray is shipped with ball-bearing slide rails already attached to the unit. Rack mounting brackets can be extended from 19.75" up to 33.5" accomodating a wide range of equipment racks with different depth.
